Reunions 2013
Now affiliated with the 55th Reunion headquarters of the Class of 1958, we found ourselves tucked away in the courtyard of Scully Hall at the south end of the campus. Some of us at least had to look at a map to be able even to find it. But most of our activities took place in familiar regions farther north on the campus.
Our now-traditional pre-P-rade lunch at the Nassau Club once again provided an opportunity for relaxed friendly
interaction with classmates along with nice food and wine. Attending were:
Roger Barth
Ron Barks and wife Ruth
Bob Briggs
Evan Bush and Mack Emmert
Philip Detjens
Ren Keller
Rich McGlynn
Jerry Pearlman and wife Barbara
Jean Rousseau
Mike Southwell
Bob Villency and wife Rowann
Peter Williamson
Dave Willard and wife Peg
Joining those listed above at the P-rade itself were:
Jeff Beaver
Ted Hilles and wife Jane Osgood
Joan Sachs Shaw
Alex Southwell ’93
Signed in but never seen anywhere were Tom Artin, Jay Howson, and Walt Lippincott.
Our Class ivy is clearly flourishing at its special corner of Nassau Hall.
Mike Southwell represented the Class at the traditional send-off brunch for this year’s Sachs Scholar,
in this case Scholars: Kaitlin Stouffer ’13 and Stephanie Tam ’13, held as usual
at the home of Cathy and David Loevner ’76. Attending were families of the Scholars, Iliana and Bill
Sachs ’66, Joan Sachs Shaw, Harry Lord (our representative on the Selection Committee), Prof. Charles Gillispie,
and (along with Loevner, Stouffer, and Tam) eight other past Scholars:
Dennis Sullivan ’70
Rush Rehm ’73
John Fox ’77
Anne-Marie Slaughter ’80
Rafil Kroll-Zaidi ’03
Dan-el Padilla Peralta ’06
Emily Stolzenberg ’07
Olivia Waring ’12
The weather was brutally hot all weekend, but everyone seemed to agree that this was another terrific Reunion, and we are all looking forward to next year’s event.
